Okavango Experience

Day 1 - Nata, Botswana

Crossing the border into Botswana, we continue northwards to Nata. (D)

Stage highlights:
Today we have time to get to know each other.

Stage duration:1 day

Day 2 and 3 - Livingstone, Zambia

This morning we make our way northwards to the Zimbabwe border. You can do the sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi and view Victoria Falls from the Zambian side. There is a free day to go white water rafting, canoeing, elephant riding, bungy jumping and more. Explore the town, visit the markets or even do a helicopter flip over the gorge! (B,D)

Time at leisure to relax, explore or take part in the adventure activities on offer.

Day 4 - Chobe National Park, Botswana

We cross into Botswana by ferry and set up camp on the banks of the Chobe River. We do a 4x4 game drive into Chobe National Park with its fantastic game viewing opportunities, and you have the option of a river cruise. (B,D)

Our first game drive will not be forgotten.

Day 5 - Maun, Botswana

Making our way south, we arrive in Maun, the gateway to the Delta, in time to make our preparations for our trip into the Delta. (B,D)

Day 6, 7 and 8 - Okavango Delta, Botswana

This morning we venture into the wild bush of Africa, far from any form of civilization. Our journey begins by 4x4 and once in the Delta we join local villagers / guides on mokoros (2 man dug out canoes). We begin our search for the abundance of wildlife that inhabits the Delta. Drifting silently through the channels, we set up camp on islands in the Delta. After a breathtaking sunset, relax around the campfire listening to the magical sounds of the night. The days are filled with game walks, tracking different species and exploring the waterways of the world renowned Okavango Swamps. On the last afternoon we return to Maun and enjoy a braai (BBQ). The abundance of wildlife and the peace of the Okavango Delta will take your breath away.

Day 9 - Francistown, Botswana

This morning you have the option of a scenic game flight over the Delta giving you the chance to see the entire area as well as spot some game. We then hit the road to Francistown, where we spend our final night. (B,D)

Day 10 - Johannesburg, South Africa

Departing early we arrive back in Johannesburg late afternoon. (B)
